Jem Moment: One Last Hurrah

  

When your mom realizes her chances of coming to Europe with a very knowledgable and willing tour guide are slipping away what’s she do?

Come see us in like, two weeks 😏👌🏻💕

One guest list completed and now a new list of things to do and foods to eat must be written up 😁📝🚘✈️👭💁🏻‍♂️

Not only for Moms visit… but also for our trip to South Africa once she leaves 🙈

Michiel has wanted to go back to South Africa since I met him and now with us moving further away, its kind of the last chance to do so, and it’s not like I’m going to have to be dragged there.

It’ll be one last hurrah so to speak 😎😋

Thoroughly Touristed

Thursday Feb 9th –



Not much occurred in the morning hours.

Come noon, some buffalo chicken style sandwiches were prepared using the leftover cheese fondue and they were pretty tasty if I do say so myself 😏👌🏻

The plan was to go back into Doesburg so Zoe could see one of the oldest restaurants in Europe and so I could get some art stuff.

‘Kuntsburg‘ was perused for a while and some little goodies picked out 😊🎨

Jem Moment: Prepare The Basement Suite

So ladies and gentlefolk, prayers have been answered and our apartment has sold! 😳

After three apartment viewing and two offers in one week, we and another young couple came to an agreed upon price/move in date and even a price to leave the place almost fully furnished!

Making it a much simpler moving out process for us come the departure date, which will most likely be in April sometime 😊

It was getting tricky to figure out some future plans while not having anything to base them off of, so it feels good to be getting a bit of a future outlined and now, who knows what else will be ahead 😬😃🏠💕

Mom, Dad… please prepare the basement suite😜

Sleep, Eat, Beach, Repeat

Saturday Oct 1st –

 

 

We left the house at 3:00 am after around 4 hours of sleep, which had been continually interrupted by the annoying beeping of road work vehicles on the nearby highway 🙄
How the sounds of country are missed.
Or the non sounds I should say 😁

A one hour drive and almost 3 hour flight later, we arrived in Greece!
I had dreamed of going to Greece for years but never did I imagine I’d actually be able to go there, and especially not in honour of a 1 year wedding anniversary 🙈💙

We took a taxi to ‘Hotel Balkony’ and were warmly greeted and seated with coffees on a balcony overlooking the sea while our room was finished being readied.

A kitten came to keep us company during our wait😊

We left the hotel by 10:00 am and walked to the nearby Starbucks.

I settled in with a coffee while Mike went to get the car and drive it around so he could skip the suitcase hauling 😏
