Jem Moment – Big Drinks, Big Island

So, as we happily sat in the cool Starbucks, sipping our free, large and extra-large drinks, the hubster looked at tickets to Hawaii.

Ya know, just the usual Starbucks goings on 💁🏻😋

If you haven’t figured it out by now, we aren’t so good at NOT traveling 😬

(I say we, but we all know I really mean Mike, not that I’m complaining 😜)

So, when the opportunity came, to go to Hawaii come November, it was pretty much a ‘yes’ and ‘decision made’ before we could even really think or talk about it 😂

Our insides knew exactly what was going to happen and that we had no will power to say no to that kind of trip, especially since I have loved Hawaii both times I’ve been previously and wanted Mike to experience something I had and he hadn’t, for once 😏

Mike got out his pros and cons about going and then told me to do my thing and say all the smart, responsible reasons I usually come up with on why we should maybe skip a trip or certain thing he wants to do but I told him my heart didn’t want to give any reasons on why we should NOT go to Hawaii.

Even though my brain was trying it’s hardest to yell out many points against such a decision 🙉 Continue reading “Jem Moment – Big Drinks, Big Island”

An Agent For Travel And A Well For Wishing

Monday June 19th –

Hubby didn’t think he was needed at work and then he was, so he left late morning and I went out to mow lawns while the sun actually peered out for a change.

Though chilly when the clouds passed by, they were pretty, big, fluffy ones and with the blue sky, sunshine and green grass, it made for a pretty scene.

I had to leave part of one lawn uncut in attempt to keep the production rate high in a wild strawberry patch that’s spread out the last couple of years.

Not much in the fruit family tastes as good as those minuscule, fresh, wild strawberries in my opinion ❤️

Lawns were finished up, lunch eaten and then Mother and I went to town for a 5.5 km walk/jog.
(Keeping a wary eye out for the bear supposedly spotted in town.)

It was then time for me to put the first coat of color on the vanity. Continue reading “An Agent For Travel And A Well For Wishing”

Three Little Words, ‘Check The Fridge’

Sunday Nov 27th –

There was a misunderstanding 😬

I double checked with Mike about what time we left for church and he misunderstood what I said and I was tired annnnnd bla bla, the alarm got set for the time we should have left, not only been waking up.

So we were a little late for church 😬
But hey, we made it 😉

Afterwords I was dropped at the house and Mike went out quickly to grab a few forgotten items for lunch cause Judith, Christian and the kids were coming over since they had yet to see the house since Pauline had been awaiting birth prior till now 😋

Taco salad was chosen for simplicity’s sake and Judith was inspired to buy the ingredients for it later that same day so it would seem they enjoyed it as much as we do 😉
