Sunday 26th –
‘Twas a rainy day indeed but one that would be spent mostly inside anyways, so the grass probably appreciated it π
Dad told Alaina she looked lovely and her response was “Yes I know, I’m very, very prettyπ”… also very humble it seems π
We went back home for lunch and then every one dispersed themselves around the house to take naps πππ»
The rest of the day was spent leisurely as well.
Eating, writing, drinking coffee, kid wrangling etc.
Monday 27th –
I have a confession of slight stupidity.
I won’t be confessing these often, because they would probably be a daily thing but this one was worth mentioning π
Pro and I had thought our passports were going to expire fairly soon so we had spent a good part of our previous town day getting the paperwork and photos required.
Once we were home and filling out the forms we realized we may have been reading things just a little wrong π
Pros didn’t expire until October of next year, mine was March of next year so not AS bad but still a slight miscalculation on our parts π
We figured we would get them renewed and done anyways since we already had all the stuff so a day in Saskatoon was planned.
Rebecca took all four of the children for the day and that was more than wonderful of her.
Mom, Pro and I hit the city around 10 am and didn’t stop until 6:30 pm.
The disappointment when you go shopping all day and find nothing, was real π
We did find some shirts at a store I had wanted to go to for some time, Hardpressed Print Studio, which creates clothing unique to Saskatoon/Saskatchewan.
‘Grown On The Prairies’ will proudly be repped by me ππππ»πΎπ¨π¦
The restaurant we had planned on eating at was closedπ
We spotted a restaurant called ‘Odd Couple’ right by Hardpressed, it looked interesting and was busy with people, which always seems like a good sign so we went in and waited for a tableπ
We got cream cheese, crab and shrimp puffs as appetizers and they were very tasty π
Split between us was two mains, making for a tasty lunch with super friendly serviceππ»π΄
We had multiple stops, multiple places and grew more and more tired, dreading the final stop… Costco.
The place we go to spend half our time searching for mom cause we lose her as she speeds through the isles, mazes of carts and people and the other half buying bulk items which may, or may not be needed πππ΅π»
We fiiiiiiiinally made it out of there, packed up the groceries and headed home.
Shopping really isn’t fun ππ
We did pass some lovely looking canola fields on the way home βΊοΈ
Rebecca always goes above and beyond, she had a tasty supper waiting for us after her whole day spent watching the kids π
Greek salad and grilled chicken with a souvlaki type sauce ππ»π΄
