A Social Sunday… And Sauce

October 25th.

My alarm is still set to Sask. time so I woke up at 6:00 a.m instead of 7:00 a.m.
Oh well, got up and got my hair done.. have to make sure they new feathers show 😉
Poured some coffee and ate a poppy-seed muffin while resting on the couch a while.. there had been a pretty sunrise but my phone was in our room and Mike was still finishing up his beauty sleep.

Eventually we were all awake and mulling around, busy with the usual Sunday morning tasks.
Josh and Pro loaned us their Buick so we could drive down to Phoenix and go to church at Bro. Ron Peterson’s.
Justin Dubsky as well as Olivia, Glen and some others knew Mike there and had wanted to get together with us (Him 😜 ) while we were in Az.

Photo creds to Olivia as she is the only one who is smart enough to take pictures 😋

So after church we chatted and decided where to go eat, I wanted Sauce and everyone graciously decided we could eat there.

I always forget how good their Mac and Cheese is there and think I must be remembering it better than it really is.
Then every time I am again amazed at how a simple dish called Mac and Cheese can cause such satisfaction with the very first bite.
We also got a bruschetta appetizer and Mike had a chicken pesto pizza.

It was his first time eating there and he was happily surprised, for some reason he didn’t think my choice of eating place would be good?
I don’t think we (Pro, Mom, me ) have ever left there even slightly disappointed with our food choices.

Justin and Austin then took us to Elevate Coffee and Justin suggested I try the dirty chia tea, iced.
I did and I’m glad, espresso coffee with some chia flavouring was a good little ‘keep me awake’ drink.
A little more visiting and off to Anthem outlets we went so Mike could look for shoes incase he plays soccer with the boys tomorrow.
They are depending on his wife to let him hang out with his friends once more 😛
A couple other shops there and then the boys ever so nicely allowed me to go to Down East.
I say nicely but I really don’t think I’m that bad of a girl to shop with, I go, try on and get out as fast as possible but to them I suppose never fast enough.

We took Justin and Austin back to their house and visited with them there for half an hour or so before heading back to Pro’s house.
I slept most of the drive home and once there gratefully took the coffee Pro had ready and went into the room to recharge from a people filled day 😛
I’m sorry to those I effected with my not very nice state of mind upon arrival.

I came out of the room sightly refreshed and the four of us hung out and talked.
Daydreaming of visits and trips and adventures that could be taken together.
The kitten fell asleep on me😊

She doesn’t have a name yet.
We are thinking something to remind them of me, but all the dutch words we asked Mike weren’t very cute sounding for a little kitten 😜

Went to bed but I was hungry so then snuck to the pantry for some Nutter Butters and granola bars.. ones options aren’t huge at 12:00 a.m in a pantry you don’t know 😁

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
