Times Captured, Tenderloin Tasted And Traction Acquired

Wednesday Jan 4th –

The morning was a rush of preparations and opinions.
We had to prepare!

For it ’twas the day for our first ever real family photos since I was like, 8 years old or so 😜

The last family picture was taken the DAY before Spencer was born so it felt a little bit sad to not have him up in the wall with the rest of us.
This time Spencer’s next sibling is in hiding but at least that ones not going to make an appearance until June so having the 12 of us together was as good an opportunity as we were gonna be getting for a while probably.

Mom hired ~Mason Neufeld Photography~ to take our photos and she was super nice πŸ“·

We decided on trying to take most of the family photos inside since the weather wasn’t really the most pleasant to be out in… the outdoors may look natural but frozen smiles don’t.

The couches and tables were pushed around the living room and space was made in front of the fireplace for our grand photo shoot to begin πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

She had us laughing and relaxed instantly… the compliments that she showered down may have helped πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‹

The kids were bribed with candy and whipped cream, the adults guzzled the coffee and endured mockery from the other couples looking on as they got photographed 😏

Once the kids were no longer required we went out in little groups to try some photos outside.
Lasting with multiple breaks to sip coffee and let the camera de fog β„οΈβ˜•οΈπŸ“·

Mason was super accommodating and patient and we can not wait to see the results πŸ˜πŸ’•

She commented that we were all so well color coordinated and it was pure chance since I hadn’t packed expecting family photos and then to have Pro have clothing packed for her Josh and the girls which blended with everyone here?
It was obviously meant to be πŸ˜‰

Pro and Mom had worked on pre-preparing moose tenderloin the day before as well as that morning, so that was ready for everyone to eat for supper once photos were done, the living room fully rearranged by the guys and everyone was changed back into comfy clothing 😜

It was amazing.

So tender.

So flavourful.

So juicy.

So scrumptious and extraordinarily satisfying😍

Once supper was finished with, everyone was pretty tired and overly stuffed so it was another evening of relaxing together, couch bound with coffees and loved ones nearby β€οΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Thursday Jan 5th –

We four kids and the girls headed to town that morning since we had some returns and Josh needed some parts to finish Mom projects.

(I guess technically Josh, Pro, Mike and I are more ‘adult’ then ‘kid’ but doesn’t everyone revert back to kid status when at their parent?)

One last Tim Hortons run, some birthday cake tim bits eaten, fuzzy socks bought for me by Mike.

Nice ones with little rubber outlined cabins on the bottom of them for traction, as he said he figured I could use the help 😏😜

Once we got back home it was a bit of a lazy day…. but which day here hasn’t been a little like that ? πŸ˜‰

Spencer came by to hang out and uncle Mike took him under his wing while we watched a movie.

He thoroughly enjoyed the chips… dunno if Mommy usually allows those πŸ˜‰

Supper was chicken with peanut sauté sauce from Holland, rice, some leftover noodles and dill carrots 😊
As ever it was an enjoyed meal but wrapped up fairly fast because it was pickle ball night 😏

Dad and I stayed back to mind the children but once the youngest was in bed I got my traditional foot rub from Dad πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
