Friday Sept 29th –

After a rude awaking from the husband to start the day off right, (wrong πŸ˜’) he and I headed over to our house to begin a day of the large and small tasks that lead us ever closer to completion.

Some days I go there and I’m like, ‘wow it’s so close to being done actually!’ and other days, I look around and think ‘wow… so much still has to be done…’ 😜

And I haven’t even hardly done any of it πŸ™ˆπŸ’πŸ»

We built the second dresser for our bedroom and Mike got that squished into place before starting the preparations for the bedroom for flooring.

I went to work washing out more window sills and then a painting station was set up so that I could start turning our trim, grey.

Mike found us a second hand bed frame from the habitat store, so I also sanded that to have it ready to paint, when I was.

Mike got most of the master bedroom floored and then we ran out of flooring so we headed home for supper.

The bro who was in town, was a champ and picked us up the remaining boxes we would need to finish upstairs the next day.

Or as Michiel has no idea of what the word ‘patience’ means, he finished the whole upstairs, that night 😏

Saturday Sept 30th –

My Saturday morning included things like picking grapes and boiling eggs 😜

Moms grape vine needed to be harvested so I began that but then took a break from the finger dying job and made Mike some lunch.

After which I joined him over at our place.

I got to see the completely floored and partly trimmed, upstairs and It looks like a house πŸ˜„

Like, we are actually going to be living there people! πŸ’πŸ»

Michiel continued to work on putting up trim and I went to work painting more of it.

Our bed frame was then hauled in and I washed that off and primed and painted it the same grey as our trim.

It’s a simple frame with built in drawers (all about that extra space πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ») and it has no headboard because the height of the window in our room doesn’t really allow one, so I figured the simple grey was the best course of action… for nowπŸ˜‰

By the time everything was painted and whatnot, we were both ready to return home, where a steak meal awaited and pleased Mike greatly πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‹
