Marshmallow

How I’ve loved having the mini marshmallows to accompany my morning coffeeπŸ˜β˜•οΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’•

That mornings sketch 🌸🌿

We eventually ventured out to Doesburg to do some things, passing our afternoon by completing errands and getting groceries.
We had cheese fondue for supper, enjoying the first boxed package of it that was available in store, now that it’s getting closer to Christmas πŸ§€πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Mike went out for soccer practice, I had a FaceTime date with my sis and that was about all the exciting bits for that day 😬

I got behind on writing the days down and now as I write this I have no remembrance of what was done of any interest 😬

Mike worked from the office, I drew from the house… and attempted making more wine jelly.

It didn’t thicken as nicely as the first batch I had made and that was disappointing but I reboiled it, added a dash more sugar and it did thicken more but the texture wasn’t as nice?
I don’t know, it’ll do but I won’t be as happy about eating it as the first batch πŸ™„

Supper was chicken, salsa, avocado and cheese, stuffed inside a tortilla and toasted to melty perfection before being eaten with sour cream and salsa along side rice and it was a nice change from our usual 😊

After that we just relaxed a while and eventually a hankering for coffee hit so Mike made us some.
I asked for marshmallows and this is how my coffee came (along with a sweet, almond cake thing).

I had said that ‘I liked the marshmallows in the coffee AND beside because they added flavour to the coffee but the little crunch of them was delightful when they were left dry’ while I was talking to my sis, guess Mike took note πŸ˜‹πŸ’•

With Mikes helpfulness in the area of perfection, we measured out a mini envelope template for a new idea I had… it turned out adorably, as almost all miniature things tend to be πŸ’Œ

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
